Spanish Dreams

We began our hike in St Jean Pied-de-Port.

Hello blogging world! I heartily apologize for being a terrible blogger lately, as this summer has been overly stressful due to being quite the unemployed bum. :(
While in Bilboa we got to visit the Guggenheim!

Favorite thing for sure!!
Sweetest Family ever! German friends!! :D
However, the one extremely exciting part of this summer, was late May into early June, when I participated on a mission trip to the beautiful country of Spain. We were hiking the trail of St. James along with many other pilgrims. The only difference was that we were sharing the word of Christ along the way. It was one of the best experiences of my life right up there along with my trip to Peru. Needless to say, the trip was not all work to say the least! And, I took lots of pictures to share with you all!

Favorite Child! :)
Europe has always been a dream for me, and to be able to go there on a greater mission than just hanging out in all the glorious attractions it has to offer...though, that still is a project in work for the future.

Monet visited Spain, I'm convinced!!
We began our journey in St. Jean Pied-de-Port, France where the Camino begins, and actually got to walk into Spain, an experience not many people get to go through! As well as walking into Pamplona, where we got to see the route the running of the bulls takes, as well as the actual arena where the bull fights occur. And then finished our personal pilgrimage in Burgos, at their famous cathedral.

This town's mascot was the rooster and their bakery had lots of rooster inspired baked goods!

This wedding lasted the entire night. How do I know? because we saw the wedding party leave the church in the afternoon, and this is the bride and groom the next morning at around 10 am. looking at the hem of her dress, it looks like she's been around the whole town! my kind of wedding. haha

Entering Burgos!
Burgos Cathedral as our backdrop for tea? Yes! :)
